Join the Team at Leisure Lakes Bikes – Daventry
We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Driver to support the transportation of goods between our Daventry store and our Southern store locations. This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods between designated store locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Communicate effectively with the stores regarding delivery status or issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Handle heavy lifting of goods safely, following proper manual handling procedures
- Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with store teams
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Must be aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes)
- Must have held a valid UK driving licence for a minimum of 3 years
- Valid UK driving licence (appropriate category for vehicle type)
- Clean driving record preferred
- Previous driving or delivery experience is advantageous
- Good knowledge of UK road networks, particularly routes from the Midlands to the North and South
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading tasks
- Willingness to undertake mandatory regular medical checks to ensure fitness to drive
- Willingness to complete compulsory online training modules as required by the company
Working Hours
- 4 days per week (specific days generally but some flexibility may be needed during busy periods)
- Early starts may be required depending on delivery schedules
- Flexibility may be needed on occasion to meet business demands
