    Tell Us About Yourself

    • Job Title: Loss Adjuster
    • Nickname:  Several but amongst my favourites and the least offensive is; ‘Feet of Flames’ (I am known for my exuberant dancing style and my signature dance move ‘the running man’ which generally makes an annual appearance at Christmas parties!)
    • Ideal Meal: I am a big fan of food and this is a difficult one to narrow down but it would probably be a spicy, Italian dish or a curry!
    • Poison: Red wine, Guinness or a chocolate stout/porter. I have also been known to partake in the occasional Porn Star Martini
    • Favourite Possession other than your bike: My other bikes
    • Top Tip: Having something to aim for always helps with the motivation to train!
    • Cant do without: Tea and Biscuits! (Preferably a Bourbon)

    Tell us a joke…

Here goes… A good old, politically incorrect classic for you with a ‘Don’t try this at home’ warning! An Englishman, Scotsman and an Irish man work together at a factory. The Englishman’s hand gets cut off after he accidentally puts it into a machine. The Supervisor immediately tells his staff to put the man’s hand in a plastic bag and take him to the hospital with it.

3 months later the Englishman returns to work with his hand sewn back on and fully functioning. He boasts to his colleagues that he received £50,000 compensation and that his hand is back to normal.

Jock thinks to himself ‘I’m having some of that’ so sticks his arm in the machine, it gets cut off. The Supervisor immediately tells his staff to put Jock’s arm in a plastic bag and take him to the hospital with it.

6 months later Jock returned to work with his arm sewn back on and fully functioning, he boasts to his colleagues that he received £100,000 compensation and that his arm is back to normal.

Paddy thinks he too will try and get some compensation and sticks his head in the machine, it gets cut off. The Supervisor immediately tells his staff to put the Paddy’s head in a plastic bag and take him to the hospital with it.

12 months later and Paddy has not returned to work, his concerned colleagues decide to ask the Supervisor what happened to him to be told that, unfortunately, Paddy had suffocated on his way to the hospital.

    What’s your worst crash?

Breaking my hip whilst riding down a road near my house that I know very well and use several times per week with nobody to blame but myself! My girlfriend still thinks I only did it to get out of taking her for a meal! (It happened on St Valentine’s day)

    What bike do you ride?

Specialized Tarmac SWorks Campagnolo ‘Super Record’ Special!

I love Italy and most things Italian and am a big Campagnolo fan. I have great affection for the history and romance of the brand. I also love the craftsmanship and appearance of their products. I decided that I would try and create a bike that would mirror my passions and showcase some of the best cycling products out there (in my opinion).

For a while I have wanted a Specialized Tarmac S Works frame (after being very impressed with my Tarmac expert that I have raced for the last couple of years) so that would form the heart of my creation. Then I stuck some of Campagnolo’s finest products on it to create my own, unique ‘S Works’ bike.

To say I am pleased with the bike is a massive understatement! It looks great, the paintwork looks amazing, it’s light and, if nothing else, I should look the part this year! Having had the chance to give it a test ride I can add that it rides as well as it looks! I took the bike for a spin using the new, and very impressive, Roval CLX 32 wheels coupled with Specialized’s ‘Turbo tyre, which I sincerely believe is the best tyre I’ve ever ridden, and it felt pleasingly quick!
