It’s been nearly 4 years since Stages Power Meters first appeared on the market and with the range rapidly growing over the years, there is now a power meter suitable for every rider…

Why Power?

Using power to measure your effort gives you the most accurate reading of how much work you are doing and exactly what you are getting out of your training. It was believed that measuring your heart rate gives an indication on how much effort you are putting in on your bike but this can vary greatly by physiological influences, including things like stress, lack of sleep, caffeine, temperature, time of day, dehydration and other factors.

Power is the perfect tool to understand how you are progressing and the best indicator of fitness gained and fatigue level. Simply put, if you want to know how you’re doing, check your power.

How Do Stages Power Meters Help Improve Your Ride?

By seeing exactly how much power you are putting into your ride, you can begin to plan, train and repeat to keep improving your ride. By seeing your power output in real time displayed in WATTs and cadence in RPM (rotations per minute), you can see instantly when your performance is dropping so you can really start to push yourself.

In The Press

“Overall, additional to its plus point mentioned above, it’s this simplicity that makes the Stages power meters so good, they are easy to swap between bikes, set-up, use and maintain.” 9/10 – Cycling Weekly.

“The Stages Power meter is lightweight, easy to fit and, according to our tests, it gives results that are comparable with those of systems costing twice as much.” 4.5/5 – RoadCC
