SRAM redesigned the caliper to have 4 18mm pistons, giving you even more stopping power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SRAM XX DH Drivetrain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For years, SRAM\u2019s XO was the go-to 7-speed drivetrain, but it\u2019s now been upgraded with the same treatment as the XX. The result is a direct-mount derailleur paired with cranks and a chainring built specifically to withstand the demands of World Cup downhill racing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the explosive power riders deliver out of the start gate, the shift ramps on the T-type cassette are engineered to cope with high loads while maintaining smooth shifts. It mounts to an XD Slim freehub and is designed around a 148mm rear dropout. SRAM\u2019s toughest derailleur now sits further inboard for added protection and features replaceable components along with skid plates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cage is kept short to maximise stiffness, while the cranks include machined surfaces in high-wear areas to better resist strikes and abrasion. The chainring is also reinforced to help prevent bending and damage from impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>When every millisecond counts and the podium is on the line, XX DH Transmission delivers a true edge: full-power shifting under load, confidence-inspiring toughness, and fully focused silence. It now features the new Charger 3.2 RC2 damper, the updated Linear XL air spring, and dimpled 38mm \u201cButterCups\u201d stanchion tubes. These dimples help pull oil up from the lowers to the bushings, keeping them consistently lubricated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the name suggests, the Linear XL spring is large and delivers a more linear spring curve. This provides coil-like sensitivity off the top, solid mid-stroke support, and a substantial bottom-out bumper for when the fork reaches full travel.
