Cube Hanzz SL Full Suspension Mountain Bike 2013

The Cube Hanzz SL Full Suspension Mountain Bike is a unique bike as it features all the qualities of a downhill bike, but it can be pedalled uphill with ease. The bike features an ultralite, very high tensile strength, heat-treated 7005 aluminium alloy frame that has been developed for the highest requirements. Its superlight tubes are triple-butted which makes them very stiff, the frame has also been built through an advanced hydroforming process to achieve its custom shapes and technical advantages. This manufacturing method reduces the number of welds that the bike has and therefore the weight is reduced and durability is increased.

This Cube Mountain Bike has been designed for any serious mountain bikers looking to push themselves to the limits. It features top flight components such as the powerful Formula RO Tune hydraulic disc brakes, these will ensure you have maximum braking performance so you can maintain complete control of your bike on tough terrain. Hydraulic disc brakes are essential for any high end mountain bikes and are very desirable amongst mountain bikers.

The frame has an FSP 4-Link features that allows you to have continuously active and fully usable travel on your bike, with the rear triangle unaffected by pedalling or especially braking forces. Cube have used a four pivot chainstay construction on their Hanzz Models. This means that one of the pivots is located between the dropout and the chainstay, ensuring that braking does not have a negative effect on the movement of the rear wheel. By carefully positioning the remaining pivots, we obtain the finest riding qualities for our full suspension bikes both uphill and downhill.

The Hanzz SL comes with great suspension components, it has a Kashima Coated Fox 36 Float RC2 FIT Air Fork that comes with a tapered steerer, 20QR thru axle, and offers a big 180mm of travel. This bike also has a Cane Creek Double Barrel Air Shock; it comes with an independently adjustable high/low-speed Compression and Rebound. These components are guaranteed to make your free-rides smoother and even more comfortable than ever before. To finish of this spectacular bike, its aluminium frame has logos and graphics that have been applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight, but to also give the bike a professional look.

Features

Aluminium Ultralite: Very high tensile strength heat-treated 7005 aluminium alloy is developed for the highest requirements. It is very stiff, fatigue resistant, corrosion resistant and non-shearing. Our Superlite tubes are triple butted, giving very light tube-sets with a high level of stiffness.

Advanced Hydroforming: The new models STEREO, FRITZZ and HANZZ are built using Advanced Hydroforming. Conventional hydroforming processes cannot achieve this custom shapes and technical advantages. As this manufacturing method reduces the number of welds, the weight is reduced while simultaneously increasing the reliability.

FSP 4-Link: The key requirement is for continuously active and fully usable travel, with the rear triangle unaffected by pedalling or especially braking forces. There are a number of ways of achieving this – CUBE favours a four pivot chainstay construction. X12 Through Axle: In this system, a cone is used to form a play-free connection. It is only necessary to tighten the axle from one side. The position of the wheel is done by an insert in the right-hand dropout which is secured by a bolt. The main advantages of the Syntace system are quick and simple changing of the wheel, reliable position of the brake disc and higher stiffness of the rear of the bike. This allows the assembly to be made lighter than a conventional through-axle.

Wet Paint Surface: On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
